ECMA Annual Congress 2022

The ECMA Congress for 2022 will take place in Krakow, Poland on 15 & 16 September 2022 – this will be the largest gathering from the European folding carton and cartonboard sector since 2019. (see the picture)

The theme of the 2022 Congress will be ‘Sustainability Unboxed’. There is a superb line-up of speakers including Carrefour, Euromonitor, BPO Packaging Strategy & Innovation, EXPRA,  CEPI, Moorgate Capital and Suez Circpack.  Keynote speaker is the acclaimed TED presenter Leyla Acaroglu. Mr Marek Belka MEP and Ex-Prime Minister of Poland will open the Congress.  

The Congress will, as usual, be a celebration of all things connected with folding cartons and cartonboard. It will give many members the chance to meet industry friends and colleagues for the 1st time in 3 years… During the Thursday evening dinner, the winners of the European Carton Excellence Awards will be celebrated.

Some format changes were made due to the conflict in Ukraine, for example the organisation does not feel a black-tie gala dinner is appropriate and ECMA will be making a donation to a local charity supporting refugees.
