50 Golden Years. Memories from 5 decades of FINAT – Lejeune partnership

Posted on: This summer, during 2019, it is exactly 50 years since the infant association FINAT contracted ‘Bureau Le Jeune’, as it was then called, as its permanent office.

‘Wishing you a lot of staff’

Posted on: ‘Say goodbye to HR headaches for good’ is the number one reason for associations to hire an association management company rather than setting up their own office. The American Association Management Company institute (AMCI) has researched this topic. A survey among clients of association management companies resulted in this number 1 and 9 other insights mentioned in the top 10 below.

Reflecting is looking forward

Posted on: This year, too, the last weeks are placed in the context of looking back. Customers and contractors, employers and employees, teachers and pupils, parents and offspring, in business and personal relations this is the time of year when we take stock, evaluate achieved results and set goals for the coming year.

A Conference, a source of information for today’s European businesses

Posted on: Before we can actually fly to the Afera annual conference in Athens a year of preparation has gone by. Together with a great team of industry colleagues and the team of Afera’s Secretariat at Lejeune Association Management we are responsible for the location, surveys, keynote speakers, official programme, social programme, invitations, registrations and PR & communications. By bundling our knowledge, experience and creative skills we are able to prepare an annual conference of this size and importance for the European adhesive tape industry.

Posted on: Once upon a time, a long time ago, I did what young fathers do: tell my children a bedtime story. I had the habit of lying down on the floor, next to the bed and my children and I would search the bedroom for an object that would be the subject of that evening’s story.

After the elections: will the 4th Industrial Revolution be on the agenda of regulators?

Posted on: The recent parliamentary elections in The Netherlands attracted international interest. After the surprises in 2016, would mainland Europe be in for another wave of populism? Would our country set the tone for the elections in France and Germany later this year? Perhaps the Dutch supporting programme did not bring the sensational overture that international media were hoping for. But what I found most striking in the run-up to Election Day, was the fact that the impact of the present digital revolution on the electorate was almost absent from the public debate. Should associations pave the way for a public agenda that addresses the 4th Industrial Revolution?
