Secretary of Foundation PayChecked in Transport, now located in The Hague

PayChecked in transport manages the certification of the equally named certification that was introduced in 2016 in response to the introduction of the ‘Wet Aanpak Schijnconstructies’ (WAS). The law to prohibit false personnel and payment constructions.

Entities covered by the collective agreement professional transport of goods can obtain the certificate by having themselves tested by an independent organisation. The certificate is a signal that the transport company in question has its personnel and payroll records in order.  Therefore there is a limited liability risk for clients in de industry supply chain.  

Lejeune as a link between evofenedex, TLN, inspection organisations and certified companies

The founders of this certification are evofenedex and Transport en Logistiek Netherlands (TLN), the Association that represent the shippers and transport companies respectively in the transport chain and also provides board members for the foundation.

PayChecked’s Chairman Tjerk Kroes states: "evofenedex and TLN launched mid-2016 the label PayChecked in Transport. Today, almost 3 years later, more than 250 companies have been certified. That is only the beginning. We owe TLN much gratitude for setting up and managing the secretariat of the Foundation in the start-up phase. It’s now up to Lejeune to act as a linking pin between evofenedex, TLN, inspection organisations and certificated companies and to increase the visibility  PayChecked to the next level."

Director Jules Lejeune of  Lejeune Association Management is very pleased with this new Association. "In recent decades, our agency has built up the necessary expertise due to our involvement in associations in the packaging and recycling sectors. As well in collective CAO projects as in managing certificates. From these two industries, there are many interfaces with the world of transport and we look forward to contributing to the further development of the Certificate Paychecked in transport. The secretary office will be headed from The Hague by secretary Roderick Ferrari, with the support of Floor Hoenderop (management assistance) and Cora van der Lek (finance).

Managing Director Jules Lejeune, who was active as interim secretary of PayChecked from March 2018, will remain closely involved as an advisor.

The certificate PayChecked

PayChecked is a certificate for companies in transport and logistics that are summitted to  the CAO collective labour agreement for professional goods transport by road. The certificate indicates that the company pays its employees as agreed in the CAO and that the personnel and payroll administration is in order. This is valuable, because according to the ‘Wet Aanpak Schijnconstructie’ (WAS) a client has the obligation to check whether its contractors pay the correct wages to their employees. The certificated indicates to clients that the company complies and that it has been successfully inspected by an independent inspection organisation.
